Spriggan stands about ten feet tall. Some height is gained by stilts, but most comes from the upper body assembly, which is built on a military surplus aluminum backpack frame. The head is carved from polyethelene filter foam covered with fabric, and it simply rests on top of the spine.

All credit for the success of the puppet/costume in performance rests with Jim Slonina, the brilliant actor who wore it.
